MEDICAL ASSISTANT(MA)
Medical Assistant – Healthcare is a growing field, and graduates of SBCC’s Medical
Assistant program are in high demand. With a 90+ percent job placement rate, individuals
earn between $16-$21 per hour and also receive a benefits package including health
insurance, vacation and sick days. Career pathways include continuing your education
to become a Registered Nurse or a Physician’s Assistant.

PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT
Personal Care Attendant – Healthcare is a growing field and becoming a Personal Care Attendant is a great way to find out if the healthcare field is right for you. Personal Care Attendants are a key member to a patient’s home health care team and assist patients and family with non-medically directed personal care and home management. Salaries tend to fall in the $11-$15 per hour range. If you enjoy working in healthcare, career pathways include continuing your education to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Registered Nurse. (Students interested in this program must meet with a Student Program Advisor.)

RESTORATIVE NURSE ASSISTANT
This skills-based program can add a new dimension to your CNA career. By promoting mobility in others you'll be promoting their independence -- and your own fulfillment as well.
(This program is open only to currently licensed CNAs. Students interested in this program should bring their current CNA license to the first class.)
