Santa Barbara City College recruits and hires for a number of full-time and part-time faculty positions each year in a wide variety of disciplines. Current divisions include Business, Health & Human Services, Technologies, Fine Arts (Media Arts emphasis), Fine Arts (Humanities emphasis), English, Social Sciences, School of Modern Languages, ESL, Cosmetology, Mathematics, Sciences, Physical Education/Athletics. Tenure track teaching vacancies are normally advertised in mid-December - January of each school year.
The College also employs a number of non-teaching support staff in a variety of positions, e.g. clerical/secretarial, facilities, fiscal services, food services, information technology, instructional support, student services, management and supervisory.
