Jordan Killebrew

Jordan comes to SBCC with a communications, strategy and public affairs background.
He worked at the County of Santa Barbara District 2 Office with Supervisor Laura Capps
as her Communications Director and District Representative. There he worked closely
with the Isla Vista community and addressed the mass evictions in the area. Jordan
also worked as Communications Director at the Santa Barbara Foundation for nearly
seven years, implementing strategic plans, enhancing fundraising and strengthening
relationships.
Additionally, Jordan has extensive volunteer experience across Santa Barbara County.
He founded Project Isla Vista Love, a direct response to the 2014 murders in Isla
Vista, which produced the IV Love and Remembrance Garden. Jordan has co-founded Juneteenth
Santa Barbara, the annual event that honors the national holiday with a block party
in historically Black locations of Santa Barbara.
Amanda Jacobs

As an alumna of SBCC, Amanda has come full circle. In the past, she has held positions of Editor-in-Chief, Publicist Assistant, Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Public Relations Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator. Her degrees include, an Associate Degree in News-Editorial Journalism from SBCC and a Bachelor’s Degree in News-Editorial Journalism and Marketing from California State University, Chico.

Hong has been a web technology hobbyist since the mid-1990s (and helped design and layout BBS menus before that), and is grateful for the opportunity to design, build, and deploy web systems of varying complexity here at the college. If it can be done, he’ll do his best to find a workable way. Hong holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Kirsten Mathieson

Kirsten has been a member of the Office of Communications since 2015. Prior to that she worked in publishing, public relations/special events, and commercial real estate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication/Journalism from the University of Southern California.
