A holiday comedy with music, this comic retelling of Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol, starts out with miserly Scrooge and his long-suffering employee Bob Cratchit but soon diverges to focus on Mrs. Cratchit and her quest to break free of her insufferable family. As she joins Scrooge and the ghost of Christmases Past, Present and Future, they experience a wild night that incorporates stories including the Gift of the Magi, Oliver Twist and It’s a Wonderful Life, into their journey. Interspersed with re-imagined holiday carols, plot twists and romance, this play is an unforgettable rejoinder to the ordinary Christmas plays.
*This is the one show of our season which is limited to registered SBCC students only. You don’t need to be a full-time student but you do need to be registered for at least one class.
